Welcome to Kindergarten - 2nd Grade!
HPA students enjoy small class sizes (15 students or less) and caring teachers who want to partner with families to give students what they need to reach their full potential. They benefit from strong curriculums, faith-based learning, close friendships, and achievement recognition.
First and second graders learn cursive writing, which research shows is important for cognitive development. Teachers use the Abeka curriculum for math, science, social studies, reading and language arts. ABeka has a proven track record of academic excellence that keeps children learning above grade level.
All grades receive weekly instruction for music, art, Spanish, media, character development, and chapel. The Bible is taught and integrated into daily lessons. Teachers care about both their academic and spiritual development. Each class also participates in an age-appropriate field trips and community service projects. Students learn that they are not too young to serve others, give back to the community and learn from their environment.
